PROGRAM MANAGER - MusicACT

2021 – 2023 | Concurrent with tertiary study 2020-2021

MusicACT supports all aspects of the Australian music industry by providing professional development, advice, resources, and authoritive recognition to the region’s industry professionals. MusicACT pursues policy development and advocacy to the government, businesses, and community.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage local, national, and international connections to expand the capabilities and career prospects of the region’s artists

  • Manage and facilitate MusicACT’s nation-leading Professional Development Program for musicians and music industry professionals

  • Industry development assistance, and consultation alongside the Director of the region’s peak music body

  • Advocate and develop industry-wide economic strategy alongside government, public, and private stakeholders

  • Innovate on existing structures to improve the organisation’s scope and offerings (creation of contemporary digital content strategy, relaunch of industry backed awards ceremony, bespoke pivot towards digital services throughout pandemic lockdown, use of historical organization data to identify key policy objectives with government)

  • Utilise various project management methods (Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall) and tools (Asana, Todoist, Gantt Charts, Confluence)

  • Use of creative development software and contemporary business processes to administrate the organization and produce digital marketing image and video content (MS Office Suite, GSuite, Adobe Creative Suite)

  • Collection, analyze, and report on industry data such as ticketing trends, live event market depth, areas of skill shortage, comparative brand strength, and online/offline fanbase activity (MS Office Suite, Typeform, GSuite, Airtable)
